Visitors have the last chance to enter the vast gardens of the Kozel hunting castle in southern Pilsen this weekend, including Easter Monday.

Entrance to the grounds of the castle park on Kozlo will be charged from April 2, says Jan Polívka.

From Tuesday, April 2, two payment terminals will be in operation, which the castle administration had installed at the entrances to the grounds in order to ensure maintenance of the castle gardens from the selected entrance fee. People will now pay 60 crowns to enter the thirty-five-hectare site.

“On Easter, the park will still be freely accessible, because the Easter fair is held here. We have agreed with its organizer that the entrance fee will not be collected yet and he will compensate us with a higher rent, which he pays us for the fact that the fair can be held on our premises,” says Jan Polívka, the castellan of the castle.

The obligation to pay for entry will last throughout the main season, i.e. until the end of October. Children under the age of 6 will have free entry, and for repeated visits to the area, it is possible to purchase a year-long permanent ticket for 200 crowns.

“All that remains is to fine-tune and activate the card payment option on the terminals, and then the entire system will be ready to work from Tuesday,” Pavel Sumczynski from the Cross construction company told Deník on the spot.

One of the two payment terminals will be located here at the lower gate, says Jan Polívka.

There will be a fee to enter the park near Kozel Castle, and the greenhouse will be open to visitors

As part of the paid entrance to the castle park, visitors will be able to take a new look at places that were previously inaccessible to them, for example castle greenhouse and castle chapel.
