“The EU will never shoot at the borders,” the Austrian promised. But he stumbled

“Migration solidarity is a false and diabolical value,” lawyer Robert Kotzian told Interior Minister Vito Rakušan. In his opinion, people are justifiably afraid of migration, he himself is also afraid, and as a result of observing the development of the situation in European countries, he considers this fear to be rational. “I am afraid of migration because I am really afraid of migration,” he added.

Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan pointed out the result of the “systematic scaremongering of migration” on the X social network. According to selected comments, the result is “a complete dehumanization of the debate, when even shooting people is normal”.

The Austrian pointed out that the European Union is primarily united by freedom and cooperation. “The EU will never shoot people at its border. That’s what the communists did here for 40 years. The Czech Republic joined the Western Community also in order to draw a thick line for crimes against innocent people,” the chairman of the STAN movement wrote on X.

Lawyer Robert Kotzian subsequently responded to this post. He left him a longer message on X regarding just two demonstrative comments.

“Dear Minister, these comments are primarily the result of the chronic inability of mainstream politicians to really address migration. Actually, it can more or less be summed up in the inability and unwillingness to really protect Europe’s borders. You can’t want everything. You cannot want open borders, a common space of free movement and security,” Kotzian wrote.

He described the Austrian’s repeated “moral beacon game” as well as his “righteous angry look” as attempts to use two unacceptable comments to exclude legitimate criticism of the Migration and Asylum Pact from the social debate. “People are legitimately upset by misinformation about the migration pact,” added the lawyer from Brno.

He pointed out that the Austrian himself was guilty of spreading misinformation when he stated that the Czech Republic was exempt from the obligation to pay solidarity contributions to other states.

“People are rightly afraid, and I am one of them, that the migration pact will cause a gradual increase in migration in the Czech Republic as well. We read almost daily in the mainstream media about the crazy consequences of migration,” said Kotzian, adding that if the migration pact should improve the situation in any way, it will only be in individual matters and perhaps in the southern states of the European Union. “But for the Czech Republic, the migration pact is practically only a minus. The migration pact is a big security threat, that the problems we observe in a large part of Europe will gradually be exported to us as well.”

“I shake my head that you are not ashamed to moralize critics of migration with a few unacceptable comments. It angers me that you are not ashamed to misinform and only give in under pressure from the media. You are preaching to people migration solidarity with states that have not solved the problem for decades and have caused it,” said Kotzian, calling migration solidarity a “false and diabolical value” that he rejects.

He then reminded the Austrian that his loyalty should belong to the citizens of the Czech Republic.

“Yes, I’m actually afraid of migration, because I’m really afraid of migration,” Kotzian admitted. His fear comes from observing developments in European countries that have been flooded with migration for years. In his opinion, fear is thus completely rational.

“And you, Mr. Minister, became the beginning of the spread of this problem to the Czech Republic. I hope you will understand it one day,” he said to the Austrian, and with the greeting “but without respect” he said goodbye to him in the post.
