Uherské Hradiště defended its silver position in the regional round of the Zlatý erb competition for the best websites. However, he will not look at the national finals. Its gates were unlocked by Zlín, the regional champion. This year, the competition is being held for the twenty-sixth time.

“The expert jury evaluated the websites of all thirteen municipalities with extended jurisdiction in the Zlín region, especially the quality and scope of the information provided, the content of the website from the point of view of citizens, tourists and entrepreneurs, as well as its cyber security,” said Jan Pášma, spokesman for Uhersko-Hradiště town hall. The regional round of the competition was organized by the Český zavináč association in cooperation with the Zlín Region. “It is important that municipalities actively communicate with their citizens and provide them with up-to-date, accurate and clear information. Websites play a key role in communication, to which practically everyone has access today,” said Radim Holiš, Governor of the Zlín Region.

The Golden Coat of Arms aims to support the modernization of local and regional public administration and self-government through the development of ICT technologies and services provided to the public using the Internet and other electronic media, thereby increasing the quality of life in the cities and towns of the Czech Republic.

This is not the first time Uherské Hradiště has won an award from the regional round. With the Hradiště project, it even won the best electronic service and Smart city category in 2021, which meant advancing to the national round, just like in 2018 with the city’s electronic encyclopedia.
