The universe and thousands of flowers in unique floristic arrangements. These two worlds are united by the main exhibition at this year’s Flora Olomouc spring exhibition. Under the subtitle Galaxy of Flowers, it takes place from Thursday, April 25 to Sunday, April 28 at the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Center.
In addition to the unique main exhibition in pavilion A, visitors can look forward to large Horticultural Markets, an exhibition of rare bonsai trees, an exhibition of the Czech Horticultural Association or an exhibition of paintings supplemented with flower arrangements. There are also several gastrozones offering quality snacks, including gluten-free. “For decades, Flora Olomouc has been the largest national festival of flowers and a celebration of spring. Visitors will refresh themselves after the gray winter and gain new strength. This year, the author of the main exhibition is the renowned florist Jan Milt. He is 36 years old and has a lot of experience abroad. In this way, we fulfill one of our goals – to establish cooperation with young and at the same time high-quality creators. This year’s central exhibition corresponds to this,” said Eva Fuglíčková, director of the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Center.
There is also a large photo wall in the main exhibition where visitors can take original pictures. Galaxy of Flowers also includes a cafe with a range of themed drinks and a large number of places to sit and relax. The goal is for people to comfortably spend a longer time in the exhibition and enjoy its beauty. “Space and flowers. Games with mirrors, light and darkness. Ellipses. And also views through the pavilion or the contrast between technology and nature. These are the cornerstones of this year’s main exposition,” describes its author Jan Milt. Thanks to the cooperation with the Union of Florists and Florists of the Czech Republic, the latest floristic trends can also be seen on the ground floor of the extension of pavilion A, referred to as pavilion B.
