Baník’s entry into the secondary section of the FORTUNA:LIGA did not work out, he lost to Slavia. In addition, Slezány played without the suspended Abdullahi Tanko from the 52nd minute, the home team managed to take advantage of that and won 5:0.

The home team took the initiative from the first minute, but apart from Bořil’s inaccurate header in the fifth minute, the home team from Slezana did not let the home team into anything in the opening twenty minutes. In the 24th minute, a warning came. David Douděra crossed from the right side, Ivan Schranz picked up the ball in the penalty area and Lukáš Provod aimed at the open goal at the far post. But the video assistant detected offside and the goal could not be awarded.

In the 28th minute, the home team took the lead. Jan Bořil ran into the penalty area on a long pass, returned it against the leg of Schranz, whose bomb was miraculously saved by Jakub Markovič. However, Schranz ran to the kicked ball and headed it back into the net.

Douděra could have increased, but he missed with his head, and thus Baník got a chance to equalize. Eldar Šehič found the onrushing Matúš Rusnák at the far post, but he headed over from close range.

Soon after the break, the home team increased their lead. Mojmír Chytil was able to touch Douděr’s ground shot in the penalty area with his foot in such a way that he directed the ball completely out of Jakub Markovič’s reach.

The turning point came in the 50th minute. Abdullahi Tanko inadvertently stepped on Tomáš Holeš in the fight, the video assistant pointed out to the head referee Szikszay, and the expulsion followed.

Slavia soon used the numerical advantage. First, in the 53rd minute, Jakub Markovič was able to knock out Schranz’s shot from close range. But in the 56th minute, after a quick combination, Schranz found himself in front of Jakub Markovic again, goalkeeper Baník blocked his space, but Schranz sent the ball to a free Václav Jureček, and he couldn’t miss from close range – 3:0.

Two minutes later, Schranz found Chytil with a pass in the small area, and he made it 4-0 from close range.

Baník’s quick action in the 69th minute had hope for success, which was finished by Matěj Šín with a shot from about fifteen meters after a pass from Samuel Grygar. He narrowly missed the goal.

Douděra made the final 5-0, then Ostrava had one more great chance. Radim Šudák made an excellent run, broke through in front of Jindřich Staňek, but was unable to overtake him.
