Burger Street Festival
From Friday 26/4 to Sunday 28/4
a gourmet hamburger festival will be held in the courtyard of the Pilsenský Prazdroj brewery. There is something for everyone to choose from the offer of more than a dozen stalls. There is no shortage of good wine in Pilsen either. The story of the giant cucumber says goodbye. Only two more times will the story be told on the Alfa stage about how a giant cucumber grew in Ošemetno, of which the locals are initially proud, but it soon begins to spread across the village. Who will ripen on an overripe cucumber? And is there a hero who isn’t afraid to go into the local forest where something is making strange noises? In addition to all this, there is a polecat who does not like work and a red waterfowl who is looking for the right water. Saturday’s derniere is on the program at 3:00 p.m.

Swarm of witches
Little wizards and witches are waiting from 15:00 at MOTÝL, z.ú, Žlutická 2, fun tasks, creative workshop, Obludka salon, theater and performances by children from clubs. The event takes place in all weathers. In case of rain, the competition tasks will take place in the center building. In case of good weather, the end of the event will be the burning of the witch Děsbuchy Děsné Údésné XX. and the popular sitting by the campfire. The entrance fee is paid directly on the spot. Witch costume for children and adults is welcome.

Vladimír Havlic and graphic workshop
The guided tour of the exhibition in the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen will start at 2:00 p.m. Jindřiška Čížková Havlicová will guide you.
This year we commemorate 20 years since the death of the Pilsen artist, academic painter, graphic artist and illustrator Vladimír Havlice (1944–2004). On this occasion, and at the same time on the occasion of this artist’s 80th birthday, a retrospective exhibition commemorating Havlic’s work will take place in the premises of the West Bohemian Museum. The concept of the exhibition offers some of the key works illustrating the development of the author’s artistic expression. Visitors will get to know the works of Vladimír Havlice, which opened his artistic career in the 1960s, the stabilization and development of the author’s creative expression in the following decades, but also the top works of the beginning of the new millennium, which crown his work. The exhibition is also complemented by Vladimír Havlice’s graphics and illustrations, a reference to his collaboration with the world of Pilsen puppetry, as well as the trace that this artist left in public space.

Prague Film Orchestra: Concert of film music
The Prague Film Orchestra is the only one in the Czech Republic that specializes in film music and is also exceptional in that its founder and conductor Jiří Korynta is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest multi-instrumentalist, having managed to play 28 different musical instruments in one hour! Today, he manages even six more. The genre range of the orchestra’s repertoire is very wide, and the concerts are thus unique every time. Don’t miss the concert in Měšťanská beseda at 19:00.

Gabriela Beňačková or Mařenka, Rusalka and Jenůfa say goodbye
Gabriela Beňačková dazzled the audience for the first time in 1970, when she made her debut at the Prague National Theater while still a university student, and now she will present herself to the Pilsen audience for the very last time as part of her final concert tour, which will stop at the Great Hall of the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. Over the years, the world-renowned Slovak opera singer has performed dozens of operatic roles on the world’s most prestigious opera stages, but her most beloved repertoire has always remained Czech music. After more than fifty years of her active career, she has now decided to say goodbye to the roles that have accompanied her since the beginning of her career. You can look forward to pure Czech music by A. Dvořák, B. Smetana or L. Janáček, arias and duets from The Sold Bride, Rusalka and Jejá pastorkyně.
