In those years, a new tourist hit could be opened near Budjovice. There will be an accessible kaolinov dl Orty, which should become the only barrier-free object of its kind in the Czech Republic.

It will be a new phenomenon that no one has thought about, predicted Petr Hornt, architect and head of the department of regional development, land filling and construction of the regional council of the South Region.

Underground objects are generally very popular among tourists. In other areas, there are not many of them, five of them are the central cellars in Tboe, the graphite mine in Krumlov and the Chnovsk caves in the Tbor region, where around ten thousand cavemen have visited each year. And a similar or calm driving force could be shown by the news in the forest between the villages of Borek and Hrdjovice.

It’s hard to predict, but Orty can be visited. They have an excellent location and accessibility in the region of Budjovice, nearby is Hlubok, the fortress of Frantiek Kreja, the descent of the leader of the Chnovsk Caves, who participated in the ascent preparations.

Orty would gain its uniqueness if it were possible to open it to the barrier-free. Everything is equal to this possibility of two. Then it would be truly unique. When it is possible, people with limited mobility would be able to manage it from the parking lots to the tourist routes like normal citizens, added Kreja.

The descent of the kaolin mine would also mean for tourists around the regional town an opportunity for flights in case of bad weather. There aren’t many wet options here. The city has great potential. We will also want local traditions to be remembered here, says Tom Polansk, editor of destination management eskobudjovickoHlubocko.

At the moment, he is thinking about what he will have to offer in the future. Tours through a number of interactive elements. There could also be a sample of what you looked like. Fill yourself with dioramas. The city should have such a long-term function, added Kreja.

The complex covers 12 hectares

Now the architectural assembly for the entrance to the underground is being prepared. We are looking for the most suitable design of the entrance building. The suit should last until z, then the project will follow. In the meantime, we are going to use the capacity of the nvtvnk, said architect Hornt. There will be subsequent authorization processes, which could delay the action.

If time allows, a new tourist attraction could open in those years. It’s nae pn. Hopefully there will be no complications and it will go according to schedule, Hornt suggests.

The cost of repairing the infrastructure alone is around 50 million crowns. According to the Jihoesk region, they are the first to be financially burdened. For this, you need to invest in the right of underground spaces. The long complex with an area of 12 hectares has been closed for many years. People still enter it and the dog spoils it, which is dangerous. The best way to save and secure it is to be accessible, Polansk thinks.

Two years ago, the Jihoesk region concluded a memorandum with the Sprva Caves on the descent of Ort as a tourist and hiking area. the right of mine to the ground of the municipalities of Hrdjovice, Borek and Hosn, and their descendants, who support one and the other.

The historical mining complex, where kaolin clay was used to make porcelain and pepper, is very interesting from a technological point of view. You can confuse it with corridors of about a meter and a half. They are five meters high and the routes are around six kilometers long. In 2019, Orty had to be secured, when dangerous sinkholes formed due to water. The entrances had to be filled with cement sms.
