A group of people from the adjacent pub naturally gather around the vacated house. They wonder what is going on. Some of them show a pair of young men having a good time and visibly enhanced by alcohol.
It is about a certain Šubrt with Hlaváček. They know each other by sight, mainly from putyk and Teplice brews.
“The Šubrts had a small convenience store nearby, their son sometimes helped there. Hlaváček was the bigger troublemaker,” recalls former investigator Pšeničková.
It is trade that plays an important role in the case. In it, the murdered Libuše P. and her husband sometimes borrowed goods, before the couple’s death they had about 300 crowns.

“It wasn’t unusual, they knew them there. They knew that as soon as they had the money, they would pay off the debt. They weren’t trouble people, they didn’t harm anyone. Sure, they lived from hand to mouth, they made a living mainly by collecting and occasionally got drunk, but that’s probably part of this lifestyle. They had a roof over their heads in that vacated house, they set up a simple apartment there,” says Pšeničková.

The vacated house where the murder took place has been razed to the ground over the years.
The witnesses describe the behavior of Šubrt and Hlaváček as very strange, who were frolicking on the spot, laughing loudly and it almost looked like they were bragging about something. Their clothes are covered in blood and they are heading to the police station. The husband of the murdered Libuš is also standing by the house.
An old pram is parked not far from it. Detectives are beginning to unravel what happened that day.
As it turns out, Šubrt and Hlaváček were already on the scene in the afternoon…
