AVTC is, of course, a lobbyist organization interested in the largest possible sales. He justifies the demand for subsidizing the electricity price for the pumps by saying that “the heat pump can automatically adapt to the current lack or excess of electricity in the system and adjust its operation accordingly, so it does not overload the network too much,” reports SeznamZpravy. But it’s also a refrigerator of the highest energy-saving class. But there is no Association of Refrigerator Operators that would come up with this request… The Minister of the Environment Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL) is not even interested in the owners of refrigerators. He is to take part in the next meeting between AVTC, the Energy Regulatory Office and the Ministry of Industry. He has already made it clear whose side he will stand on. “Heat pumps are an efficient means of heating and the Ministry of the Environment wants to be actively involved in this debate so that heat pumps are not disadvantaged,” he was quoted by the SeznamZprávy server.
