The first day of May is marked by interesting events, in addition to kissing under the cherry trees (most of them are frozen this year anyway).

BRASSES – Wednesday belongs to the guided walk In the footsteps of mining activity in Břask. The meeting is at 2 p.m. in front of the station in Stupno (for cross-country train departure from Rokycan at 1:03 p.m., transfer in Ejpovice, return train at 5:54 p.m.).

Mining began in the Radnick coal seam four hundred years ago. But the biggest boom came 200 years later under Count Šternberk, the end came in the 70s of the last century. An educational trail over five kilometers long reminds us of many interesting natural and cultural-historical monuments. Participants will visit a normally inaccessible tunnel, collect plant fossils and see the last outcrop of black coal in daylight.

CASTLE – Patriots of the city and other visitors can leaf through the chronicles in the vestibule of the House of Culture. On Wednesday 1st May from 2pm to 5pm, on Thursday 2nd May from 9am to 11am and from 1pm to 5pm.

ROKYCANS – An exhibition of historical means of transport (cars, motorcycles, buses and tractors) beckons to the winter stadium. On Tuesday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
