Shadow Minister of Health Farhan is running for governor of the Pilsen region

“It’s about my region. About Pilsen region. I was born in Pilsen, I went to kindergarten, school, gymnasium and then college there, and I found my first job there. On weekends, I go to Šumava, where I spend my free time. I will not allow this region. I live here. I love it here. I have family and great friends here. Well, one of them, the current mayor of Pilsen, Roman Zarzycký, likes Pilsen, came up with the idea that as a strong patriot and today actually a seasoned politician from the Chamber of Deputies, I should give back to my beloved region at least part of what it has given and enabled me to do. I changed my mind. He discussed it with his wife. He discussed with colleagues in the movement, got their support, and finally made an important decision,” wrote Farhan on his Facebook.

Farhan believes that he will be able to continue the work of the mayors of the cities in the Pilsen region. According to him, a functioning team of experts and “heartthrobs” who will convince the majority of voters is key.

According to the current mayor of Pilsen, Roman Zarzycký, Farhan is the ideal person who should lead the governorship and at the same time the strongest leader of all the candidates. “Kamal Farhan is a doctor by education, currently a Member of Parliament and also my party colleague who is an expert on healthcare. We are good friends, so I vouch for Kamal,” the mayor said on his Facebook page.
