For the first time, Sigma sat down over the Americans’ offer. Details will be announced after the season

“At the meeting, we opened a debate on the investor’s offer. Of course, the goal of Tuesday’s meeting was not to make a final decision, but to discuss the next course of action. The key conclusion was the agreement that we will let the multinational consulting company Grant Thornton assess the economic side of the offer,” said Jakub Beneš, chairman of the board of directors of SK Olomouc Sigma MŽ.

“We will most likely not comment on the offer before the end of the superstructure part of the competition,” added Beneš.

Sigma has not yet commented on the offer. She did not even officially say whether Blue Crow is seeking a majority or minority stake in the club, although club chairman Petr Konečný assured fans in March that the investor was interested in a majority stake in the club.

This is also confirmed by iDNES.cz sources. According to them, the offer is very tempting. The Americans are to demand the purchase of 51 percent of the shares and guarantee a budget for the season in the amount of 150 million crowns.

The remaining 23 percent of Sigma’s shares are owned by the city of Olomouc, but only until next year. When the agreement on the sale of the last grandstand of Androva Stadium, which is the only one not owned by the city, is finally fulfilled, the municipality will lose its share. The city will be left with only one symbolic share.
