ZLÍN – The Zlín Film Festival starts in exactly one month. The organizers revealed the names of four promising Czech talents today.

They are young, a great acting career awaits them, they have already played many roles. This is what the four actors who will arrive in Zlín this year as the festival’s Young Stars have in common. Festival visitors can meet Darija Pavlovičová, Anna Fialová, Filip Březina and Adam Mišík, for example, in the cinema, when planting the festival tree, on the red carpet or just in the streets of festival Zlín.

Anna Fialová (28), granddaughter of the actor Karel Fialá, made her screen debut with the film Román pro ženy, and is referred to as one of the greatest talents in Czech acting. “She amazed the audience as Iveta Bartošová in the mini-series Iveta, she also played an important role in the mini-series Guru and recently also in the series It will be explained, comrades. She also played the role of the rebel princess Josefína in the fantasy fairy tale How Not to Marry a Princess,” said Markéta Pášmová, artistic director of the Zlín Film Festival.

Twenty-nine-year-old actor Filip Březina has also had a very successful year. The audience enjoyed him in the role of the protagonist of the last Christmas Eve fairy tale, The Key of Saint Peter, and he also touched the Czech Republic with the title role in the series Smysl pro tumor. He shot scenes for the film Zátopek in Zlín. He is therefore very much looking forward to returning to this city. “I really like Zlín, my ex-girlfriend lived not far from Zlín, so I used to go here often. It’s a beautiful and aesthetic city,” adds Březina, who doesn’t feel like an acting star yet and lets everything flow naturally in his career.

Actress Darija Pavlovičová, who first appeared in front of the camera at the age of 14, has a number of major series titles and four films to her credit. “If someone had told me then what would happen to me, I wouldn’t have believed it. I never really planned things, rather I just wished for something and waited to see if it would come to me or not. I was lucky to be able to do what I enjoy and fulfill,” said the young twenty-two-year-old actress, who rose to prominence with her roles in the fairy tales Perinbaba and two worlds, About healing water, and the series Cuckoos and Crimes of Great Prague.

Adam Mišík, who appeared last year in the prominent role of a drug dealer in the film Banger, which was awarded two Czech Lions, is increasingly jumping from concert stages in front of the camera. “This role was a big challenge for me. I had to whip myself out of my comfort zone,” recalls the twenty-six-year-old actor and singer, who currently also appears in the series Jedna rodiná or Metoda Markovič. “I am really looking forward to Zlín and all the people there. Zlín is a very beautiful city with a beautiful concept,” added Adam Mišík.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet all of this year’s festival Young Stars during the festival at many places in Zlín. They will take part in autograph signings in the Golden Apple, walk the red carpet in front of the Zlín Congress Center or be Vladimír Kroc’s guests at the Festival Café on Náměstí Míru. Together, they will also plant a tree in University Avenue on Friday, May 31 at 9:00 a.m.
