But it points to the growing aggressiveness of disinformation linked to Czech and European support for Ukraine in its defensive war against Russia.
It was the common attitude of the Czech Republic and Germany towards this conflict that was the key theme of the visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Prague Castle – and it was this visit that intensified the aforementioned disinformation. Steinmeier came mainly to the conference on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Czech Republic’s entry into the European Union. “We deliberately wanted the German president to be the main guest, because it is necessary to remind that the Germans are our key partners in Europe, that Germany is not some aggressive scarecrow,” a high-ranking source involved in the organization of the visit told HN off the record. .
