Summer is fast approaching, so many of us are wondering how to get back in shape. Prague 3 also offers us a wide range of sports facilities, even for demanding people. I personally started to pay tribute to running a few years ago, and although I prefer to run alone (I have my own pace), I can recommend the Prague 3 Running School. They run most of them around Pražačka and the school can definitely get you moving. If running is not right for you, the Pražačka sports and recreation complex offers many other sports.
At every meeting of the sports commission, of which I have been a member for years, we solve and support the development of this organization so that everyone can find their sport, from classical football to a modern skatepark. Pražačka is accessible by car, tram and bike, and if you burn through the beginning and get too hot, they also have a beautiful lap pool.
In the winter there was, in my opinion, a successful experiment with an artificial ice rink. Although for some speed skaters the surface was slower than real ice, it was ideal for the family with the beginners Jágr and Sáblík for their first slide. The rental and sharpening of skates are a matter of course here, so I’m already looking forward to next winter.
For the following months, I would like to recommend mainly outdoor sports grounds, because even if things don’t go well right now and the legs don’t want to run, throw the arms, strengthen the stomach, at least we will replenish vitamin D.
I wish everyone that you enjoy playing sports and avoid health problems. Don’t be afraid to discover new sports, even seemingly meaningless ones, because every step counts.
