South Moravian Region: People can get involved in the management of regional schools

The South Moravian region, through its established organization VIM, announced the collection of nominations for school councils from the general public. Anyone who is interested in working together to improve the quality of regional education can join. The final form of school councils is established by the Council of the South Moravian Region on the proposal of the managing councillor.

“Our goal is to enable the participation of the public, experts, representatives of local governments, graduates and other people who are interested in the prosperity of regional schools. This is the second term of office of school councils, in which people can get involved,” comments Karel Jurka, councilor of the South Moravian Region for the field of education. During the final selection, the Regional Council will assess candidates on the basis of education or previous experience. After being appointed to positions, the members of the school councils will be entitled to free entrance education, which will be implemented by the Educational Institute for Moravia. Serving on the school board does not entitle you to a financial reward.

Those interested can apply through the portal HERE, where, in addition to the basic information, they must attach their CV and motivation letter to the nomination. In total, people can apply to 104 contributory organizations in the region, while the founder always has three members in each of them. Applications close on May 19, 2024.
