The drama took place on Monday evening in Sušice. There, a mentally ill woman stabbed herself in the stomach. When the called police tried to stop her from further self-harm, she stabbed one of them with a knife.

“On Monday evening, we received a report that there was a woman in Sušice who was upset and wanted to harm herself. After the arrival of the patrol, the police officers saw how the woman had injured herself with a knife. They wanted to prevent her from further actions, during the intervention a policeman was injured,” informed Dagmar Brožová, adding that the woman did not cut the policeman on purpose.
“The man, born in 1999, was cut on the forearm. The woman, born in 1980, had a stab wound to the abdomen. Both were transported by land to the Klatovská hospital,” informed the regional spokeswoman for the emergency medical service, Mária Svobodová, adding that neither of the injuries were serious.
The case was taken over by the Klato criminal police, who are now examining all the circumstances of this event.
