Flix, a fast-growing technology and mobility company, announces the launch of seasonal overnight routes to Croatia. In addition to the connections mentioned below, there will also be other year-round or seasonal ones operated by partners from other countries. Connection in Istria
The first connection is the fastest possible connection from Bohemia to the Mediterranean in the long term. Slovenian and Croatian Istria is a very popular holiday destination every year. The bus from Prague to Florence will depart five times a week (from Wednesday to Sunday), the return trip will be in operation from Thursday to Monday. From June 23 to September 30, the line will operate daily, between June 27 and September 2 two buses leave the line (the second with an interval of 5 minutes). The bus departs from Prague Florence at 18:20, in the Czech Republic it also stops in Roztyle (18:40), Tábor (19:55), České Budějovice (20:55) and Český Krumlov (21:25), stops in Linzi Industriezeile (22:55), Salzburg Süd (00:50), in Slovenia it stops in Ljubljana (4:27), arrives at the sea in Trieste (5:57), other stops are Koper Banka (6:29) and Portorož (6:57) in Slovenia and Umag (7:29), Poreč (8:15), Rovinj (9:00) and ends its journey at 9:45 in Pula. In the opposite direction, the bus will depart from Pula at 22:00, stopping in Rovinj (22:40), Poreč (23:25), Umag (00:10), Portorož (1:00), Koper (1:27), Trieste (2:00), Ljubljana (3:39), Salzburg (7:15), Linz (9:15), Český Krumlov (10:40), České Budějovice (11:15), Tábor (12:15), Prague Roztylech (1:30 p.m.) and finally arrives in Prague on Florenc at 1:55 p.m. The journey from Prague and other stops in the Czech Republic to Pula and all Croatian destinations starts at 999 crowns.
Rijeka overnight and during the day
Two lines go to the eastern coast of Istria, to the Kvarner Gulf. The daily line from Prague to Rijeka starts already on May 6 and will be in operation 5 days a week, on the way there from Thursday to Monday, and back from Wednesday to Sunday. From June 10 to September 22, the line will be operated daily. The train departs from Prague Florence at 8:50 a.m., stops at the Main Railway Station (9:00 a.m.), Vienna (1:30 p.m.), Ljubljana (6:35 p.m.), and the coastal resort of Opatija (9:10 p.m.) and arrives in destination Rijeka at 21:35. In the opposite direction, the bus departs from Rijeka at 7:35 a.m., continues to Opatija (7:55 a.m.), Ljubljana (10:32 a.m.), Vienna (3:35 p.m.), stops in Prague at Hlavní nádraží at 8:05 p.m., and finally arrives at Prague Florenc at 20:15.
The night train to Rijeka leaves Berlin every day throughout the year at 16:20, stops at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport at 16:55, in Prague at Florence (21:00) and at the Main Station (21:20), in Vienna Erdberg (1: 30), Maribor (4:40), Zagreb (6:30) and arrive in Rijeka at 8:45. On the return journey, it departs from Rijeka at 20:50, the journey continues to Zagreb (23:20), Maribor (1:25), Vienna Erdberg (4:35), Prague Main Station (9:20) and Prague Florence (9 :30), continues to Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (13:40) and arrives at Berlin ZOB station at 14:20. A ticket from Prague to Rijeka and Opatija can be purchased from 879 crowns. A ticket from Prague to Rijeka with a night connection via Zagreb starts at 999 crowns. Rijeka is a beautiful seaside town and a starting point to other places on the coast of the Kvarner Gulf and to the neighboring islands. In addition, it has a number of pleasant beaches near the city center. Opatija, in contrast to industrial Rijeka, is a purely spa type of resort. Opatija was built by the cream of Austria-Hungary at the end of the 19th century, and the similarity with similar places in Central Europe is striking. In some places of Opatija, you will hesitate whether you are in Marianske Lazne or on the Adriatic coast. Opatija is also a great starting point for trips to the Učka mountains.
Into the heart of Dalmatia
Another traditional destination is the Dalmatian coast. Cities and resorts are often in the sights of Czech tourists. The line will be in operation from May 9 (until October 30) 4 days a week: from Prague from Thursday to Sunday and for the return trip from Friday to Monday, from June 24 to September 8 the connection will be operated daily, between June 27 and September 2, there will be two buses on the route (the second one 5 minutes apart). The first connection from Prague Florence departs already on May 18 at 4:50 p.m., and also stops at Hlavní nádraží at 4:55 p.m. The next stops are Vienna Erdberg (9:05 p.m.), Graz (11:40 p.m.), Maribor (00:45), and passengers on the Adriatic coast will get further stops: Zadar (6:00 a.m.), Biograd na Moru (6:00 a.m.) 35), Pirovac (6:55), Vodice (7:10), Šibenik (7:30), Trogir (8:25) and arrive in Split at 9 hours and 5 minutes. In the opposite direction, the bus departs from Split at 9:15 p.m., stopping along the way in Trogir (9:55 p.m.), Šibenik (10:55 p.m.), Vodice (11:15 p.m.), Pirovaci (11:30 p.m.), Biograd na Moru (11:50 p.m. ), Maribor (5:40 a.m.), Graz (6:45 a.m.), Vienna (9:15 a.m.) and arrives in Prague at Hlavní nádraží at 1:35 p.m. and ends in Florence at 1:45 p.m. All connections to Croatia start at 999 crowns. “The journey to Croatia has been significantly simplified since last January with the country’s accession to the Eurozone and the Schengen area.
