That’s probably not possible… Klaus was waiting in front of the study and listening to the Austrian. He had to hold on

--

Václav Klaus initially spoke about his ascent to Blaník on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of joining the EU, where he went to ask the Knights of Blaník for help. “I consider the European Union and this chosen form of European integration or unification to be a very problematic thing. And I knew that ten years before we joined the European Union. I knew that on the evening of April 30, 2004 in Blaník, and I know it just as much today. The shift is the only one. I preached at that time that the Blaníčí knights would wake up and that help would come. And now that I was there again after those 20 years, I said it slightly I know now that it is not a fairy tale about the Blanické knights, but a completely false one. I think that if anyone needs to be woken up, it is the public of the Czech Republic. Let them sleep there, not those knights , but our fellow citizens need to be woken up,” remarked Klaus.

“During those 20 years, a lot of things happened in the life of the nation, just like every person, a lot of factors affect us. And I, as a professor in the field of social sciences, have to authoritatively say that to separate what caused this influence, that influence and different, it is terribly difficult, if not impossible. In other words, it is basically impossible to separate what has happened to us 20 years ago. And that is why it allows anyone to proclaim anything opinion on this matter. So my assessment of our stay in the European Union is very sober, I fundamentally protest against the enthusiastic fanatical applause of those who think that we are completely different thanks to the EU, I think that is a complete lie,” Klaus added.

He does not see the advantage of the EU even in the fact that we could travel thanks to it. “After all, we started traveling on November 17, or the day after, 1989, not May 1, 2004,” Klaus said. According to him, we also started trading with the world much earlier than when we joined the EU – on January 1, 1991. “When I, as Minister of Finance, liberalized foreign trade and therefore made it possible for all of us to freely… False stories about the benefits of joining the EU are undignified and it’s a terrible pity for them,” he said.

“I consider the abolition of borders in Europe a crime! A fatal mistake. I am willing to take my passport out of my pocket at the borders of the Czech Republic with any country in the world and show who I am. And if I have the opportunity to enter there. But after all, opening the borders was not a fatal benefit for us. You certainly traveled around the world before May 1, 2004, even without us being members of the EU. After all, what happened here in Europe was the release of mass migration and the fatal destruction of Europe,” said Klaus. , that his predecessor in the Party broadcast, Minister Vít Rakušan (STAN), was just lying.

“Those lies about the fact that the migration pact does not mean the de facto legitimization of mass migration to Europe despite all the apparent, fictitious obstacles, it’s like… It’s probably not even possible to say what the Minister of the Interior said in elementary school. I think that Mr. Havlíček did defend himself, but I think it was not enough. It should have been resolutely said that what the Minister of the Interior said was untrue,” said Klaus.

And what does Klaus say about the fact that we in the Czech Republic received a total of one billion crowns from the EU? “That amount is not zero, but let’s not overestimate it. The amount that is always being talked about is on the order of half of our state budget for one year. It is a non-zero amount, but it certainly does not mean that it would save the Czech Republic. But the propaganda that is here is really false. First, it does not say what we pay to Europe. Second, if it was used in the best way, I see financed cycle paths, observation towers where you can’t see anywhere, ski slopes where you have to go down at all. The third thing: People here terribly underestimate the issue of co-financing, the European Union has it very well formulated. The poorer the country, in terms of GDP per capita, the lower the level of co-financing. Since the Czech Republic is the richest of the post-communist countries, we have the highest level of co-financing we have co-financing. This is a terribly problematic thing, because very often it is an unnecessary action,” added Klaus.

“European subsidies are one of the biggest sources of the corrupt environment in the Czech Republic. If everyone here knows the problematic projects of the Blackbird’s Nest, or the pension of former Chancellor Mynar, then these things are very, very problematic, but since the spotlight will be on Babiš and Zeman, so they will bring these two cases to the attention of all citizens of the Czech Republic. I insist that we have a hundred raven nests, a hundred guesthouses in Auschwitz, which are just as problematic as these two. And without the European subsidies, we would not have them,” Klaus pointed out.

7-8 In June we will elect new representatives to the European Parliament, Klaus did not want to evaluate the campaign of individual parties. “I giggle at some of the billboards, but that’s beside the point,” Klaus added. “Those who don’t want mass migration, don’t want this concept of war in Ukraine, those who would rather not take any European subsidy to be able to decide about it themselves, so if there are any political parties that, in their campaign, first come up with those ideas and they will have a chance to present them loudly enough to their fellow citizens, so I would welcome that and be happy about it,” added Klaus. “For me, it is absolutely clear to resist all tendencies, both European and the tendencies of the contemporary world, which I call the self-destruction of the West,” he added.

It was also about domestic politics, when the government approved changes in the pension system. In the end, no agreement was reached with the opposition. Petr Pavel tried to moderate the debate, according to Klaus, did he have a chance of success in such a sensitive topic? “I think it does not belong to the president. That is not a presidential role. As the chairman of a political party and then the prime minister and then the parliament, I had very strong positions on pension reform. When I came to the parliament, I was the chairman, so to everyone’s shock, I voluntarily he announced that I would be a member of the pension reform committee. Everyone was shocked that the president of the parliament should not go to any committees, but he did not move on it, he will not move now. What is proposed today is a marginal, marginal change to our pension system , a marginal change, of course the necessary shift in the retirement year, but that can never bring about a deeper pension reform, but there is no comfort in the coalition or in the nation for that today In principle, I have nothing to do,” Klaus mentioned.

“The ideal system for me is absolutely clear. In principle, to establish something called in the literature individual retirement accounts, that is, each person must create and build his retirement account throughout his life in preparation for his retirement. And for that – and now for that is and will be an endless political dispute – the state must say: We are not an antisocial institution, we will not let someone die who does not do it, or does not do it enough. The state must say, which is some minimum guaranteed pension, which even if a person he will treat himself criminally, his whole life, so we will not let him die. Or the interplay of these two parameters, that is a huge political debate, the left will want the guaranteed pension to be bigger, the right will probably want it to be smaller let the fatal debate take place, but what was done today was just a patching of the existing system,” Klaus said.

Finally, Klaus commented on the change in the post of Minister for Science, Research and Innovation. Pavel Tuleja was supposed to replace Helena Langšádlová, who subsequently withdrew his candidacy. Do we need such a minister? “The fact that we never had a Ministry of Science, we never needed one, it’s a bogus game… It was an attempt to satisfy one political party, in this case TOP 09, I think the sparrows are chirping about it and it’s absolutely a clear thing. The second thing that the minister was invisible, inaudible, unknown… She did not exist as a minister. But the third thing: I think that the political party that resisted this position in the government and occupied it so unhappily people, so now she proposed a candidate who turned out like this. But something else scares me. If they suddenly say that he cheated on his scientific work, then I am horrified by something else government, how is it possible that this person with such a degradation of his science could be rector of the University of Silesia in Opava? This is a shocking message for me and I think it must hurt every potential student,” added Klaus.
