“The sleeper gave me the ball, but I didn’t catch it, so I thought I had to take it back. Fortunately, I fought him off. A path opened up for me there, so I took it upon myself. I have sometimes been criticized for not taking on similar events, as I mostly record them. So now I took it upon myself and it worked. It was a goal.”

As a team, you are riding a winning streak. What is the atmosphere like inside the team?

“We’re going through probably the best time I’ve been at Sigma. We didn’t lose a single game in April, we started well in May. We are happy, we have a great time at training, the atmosphere is excellent. I have nothing to complain about.”

Young players, teenagers, often come in for you, and they don’t get lost at all. How do you help them?

“There are also older players in the team who help them. When young people come to the team, we take them in, we explain to them what we need them to play. That works for us. The same applies even if someone comes from A. In this respect, we are good.”

“Of course, the coach is also a part of it and has a big role in it. He holds the team together the most. We have great results under him, we owe him a lot of thanks.”

Why don’t you go to the end so much? As a teenager, you were decorated with this.

“I guess I’m still getting used to the second league. But now I feel much better than in the fall, I trust myself more and I take it upon myself more. And it pays off, I’ll probably zigzag like this more often.”

There are four rounds left in the season. What is your goal?

“We would like to be in third place. The results of the other teams are also good for us, Vyškov lost today in Žižkov. We lack a point for second place. We feel the desire to get higher.”

You went into the spring thinking you were going to fight for retention, but in the end you were third with four laps to go. This is an incredible story. How do you take it?

“I think we had a good concentration in Turkey. That’s the key. We played tough matches against quality opponents. A good confrontation is the foundation.
