To trains by train. This is what the traditional exhibition of the model railway yard in Přední Skvrňany in Pilsen will look like, which starts on Monday, May 6.
The exhibition will be hosted by the Salesian Youth Center in Křimická Street. Visitors will be treated to a H0-sized model track, on which dozens of train sets will race. Those interested will be able to admire a wide range of miniature locomotives from steam to diesel. The presentation of the model railway will also be complemented by a photo exhibition. You can even become a little driver of a model locomotive.
The exhibition will be open from 6 to 12 May, on weekdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 19:00. On the holiday weekend, you can come and enjoy the little trains between ten in the morning and four in the afternoon. In addition, a G-sized model railway will be on display from May 9 to 12. Admission is free.
The organizers will enliven the public holiday on May 8 with an unusual experience for visitors from the surrounding area. On this day, a special historic Hurvínek train will be dispatched, with which passengers from Vejprnice, Křimice, Rokycan and Ejpovice can come to the exhibition. However, the capacity of the train is limited.
