A Nazi flag on a convoy? A woman waved a swastika flag at the VIP stand

The traditional culmination of the Celebration of Freedom in Pilsen was represented on Sunday by the Convoy of Liberty, which passed from Sukova Street to Klatovská Street to the center of Pilsen. This year’s convoy carries one big BUT!

Czech, American or Belgian flags could be seen along the entire route of the convoy. It ran from Sukova Street to Klatovská Street to the center of Pilsen. Over 300 military and historical vehicles were presented during the traditional Pilsen drive, and historical airplanes flew over the heads of Pilsen residents and tourists.

Shortly after the end of the spectacular event, a video was posted on social media showing the driver handing a swastika flag to his female passenger. The woman waved the flag directly at the VIP tribune, where the convoy was watched by people directly connected with the liberation of Pilsen or their family members.

The police immediately began to deal with the whole incident. “We recorded a video on social networks where one of the actors of the American convoy hands a flag with a Nazi symbol to another person in the vehicle. We are currently dealing with this case, both the captured illegal act and the authenticity of this video.” said a police spokeswoman.

“We have already established the identity of the suspects and the criminal investigators are now carrying out the necessary procedural steps in the case. The illegal actions of these two Czech citizens were qualified as suspicion of committing a misdemeanor, a manifestation of sympathy for a movement aimed at suppressing human rights and freedoms,” added the police spokesperson.
