At the Kyšické portal of the railway tunnel under Chlum between Pilsen and Ejpovice and Pilsen, a technical fault occurred today before eleven o’clock in the morning on the locomotive of a passenger train, which was reported as a fire. That’s why units of railway, professional and volunteer firefighters went to the scene immediately.
Fortunately, it turned out that it was really just a technical fault and the whole incident was avoided without any injuries. There was no need to evacuate the passengers from the train, only the locomotive had to be replaced.

However, on the way to this intervention, the Rokycan firemen encountered a car accident in front of Ejpovice, which had overturned on the side of the road, and of course they immediately went to help.

“Firefighters freed the injured person and provided him with pre-medical care,” said the press spokesman of the fire department, adding that the fire department also secured the area of ​​the accident and carried out fire prevention measures.
The driver of the car was then taken into care by paramedics and transported to the hospital after treatment on the spot.
“The woman suffered a moderate injury and due to the serious mechanism of the accident, she was transported conscious to the Emergency Faculty Hospital Lochotín,” added the press spokesperson of the rescuers.

“The driver, born in 1954, was driving a Mazda vehicle from Rokycan to Ejpovice, for unknown reasons she drove off the road to the left, where the vehicle rolled several times over the roof, and ended up on the right side partially on the road. Due to her injuries, the woman was unable to take a breathalyzer test , that’s why a blood sample was ordered at the hospital. the police spokeswoman added information.
