Wildness in the Sparta B duel. Burner with a skull fracture, the club files a protest

--

Six goals, eight yellow cards, two reds, lots of negative emotions. No, Sparta B’s encounter with Slavia Kroměříž was not a peaceful second league match. In addition, the 3:3 draw will have a sequel, the Strahov team filed an official protest at the LFA against the “obvious misconduct” of referee Vojtěch Opočenský. According to Sparta, he should have given the Kroměříž team two red cards, primarily for a tackle on Roman Horák, which ended with a skull fracture.

He freezes from the moment in the 78th minute. Tomáš Matoušek from Kroměříž jumped into an aerial duel with 19-year-old Roman Horák and sent him to the ground with a hit to the head. The reaction of Horák’s teammates and opponents speaks for itself, they immediately called medics to the limp player.

While the referee’s report states that the two players collided heads, Sparta disagrees. According to her, Matoušek played with his elbow with enormous intensity and is protesting, even considering that the young midfielder’s injury is of a serious nature – the player suffered a fractured skull bone.

“The referee did not punish the reckless, unsportsmanlike and crude behavior of the players of the home team and did not award a CK, even though it was a health-threatening intervention, while one of the described acts had a critical impact on the health of our young player,” Sparta describes the events at Hané.

“Our main motivation is to protect the health of our young players. It is our duty to speak up, especially considering that there was a really serious injury, after which our player Horák had to undergo surgery in the area of the skull. This injury was a consequence of the way the home team played and the result of obvious HR misconduct in this match,” Sparta said in a statement.

The club didn’t like the duel from the 28th minute between Jan Silný and Lukáš Váňa. Silný, who in the end won for Kroměříž with a goal, jumped into the fight with the Spartan only after Váňa played the ball. “Gross unsportsmanlike conduct, intentionally kicking a player without the possibility of playing the ball in an uninterrupted game,” writes Sparta in protest.

That the match was heated is proved by the situation after Kroměříž’s equalizing goal in the tenth minute of regulation. The celebrating Matoušek first pushes Vojtěch Hranoš to the ground, after which he takes revenge on his teammate Dalibor Večerka to the same extent. Both sinners received a red card. Sparta requests that disciplinary proceedings be initiated against Matoušek and Silný for the aforementioned interventions.
