In connection with the issued warning for strong thunderstorms in the Olomouc Region, professional and volunteer units went out to only two events.
We solved both situations in Prostějovsk. In the municipality of Klady, the premises of the local school canteen were flooded after heavy rain. Voluntary units from Kladky and Ludmírov also intervened at the scene with the professional unit of the Konice station.
In the aforementioned areas, the water reached an estimated 30 cm in several rooms, and they gradually pumped it out using pumps. In the second case, power lines in Kostelec na Hané fell into the street in front of the house.
The units (Prostějov station and voluntary Kostelec na Hané) secured the scene of the incident and waited for the arrival of the cash service of the energy workers.
Firefighters in the Olomouc region did not deal with more incidents in connection with yesterday’s evening storms.
