Royel Otis are Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic, Royel Otis play guitar indie pop, the energy of which makes it clear at first glance how much these two musicians understand each other. They have a superb debut album out and also a touching cover of “Linger” by The Cranberries, which is currently rolling on TikTok. On the Glory to Glory tour, he will go with the band, so expect even more intensity of the already captivating concerts. The first three EPs led by Sofa Kings, which they recently followed up with their debut “Pratts & Pain”, revealed a lot about their mutual chemistry. From the beginning, they paid attention to every note, but the latest songs “Oysters in My Pocket” and “Bull Breed” showed them that spontaneity can also pave the way to success. The hype around this Australian couple kicked off this year with their cover of “Murder on the Dancefloor”, which was given a thumbs up by Sophie Ellis-Bextor herself. But the main thing is the music of the band itself, which is created in the close cooperation of the Maddell/Pavlovic pair, who like to remind you that they learned to cover each other’s backs, no matter what. Now Royel Otis is doing a lot of good things, they played at giant festivals like Pukkelpop or Leeds and Reading, they preceded alt-J on the Australian tour and on their debut they collaborated with producer Dan Carey, in whose impressive CV we can also find the authorship of the hit “Slow” by Kylie Minogue .
