This year’s season of extended bicycle transport will be launched in the Plzeň region by the carrier AKV bus, Plzeňsko division (formerly ČSAD buses Plzeň) with its Brdský cyklobus project. It will depart on the line from Plzeň to Příbram and back as a regular bus supplemented by a lift for bicycles on Saturday 4 May and subsequently on Saturday 11 May 2024. The lift has a capacity of 24 bicycles, which are loaded and unloaded by the operator. It is also possible to transport e-bikes subject to compliance with the transport conditions.
The so-called The “Brdský cyklobus” is guided along the regular bus line no. 440555 from Pilsen to Příbram. The bus with cycle tow runs on the route Pilsen – Starý Plzenec – Spálené Poříčí – Míšov/Brdy – Rožmitál – Příbram and thus serves all the tourist attractions of the Brda peaks. Příbram – Míšov connections and vice versa are also being introduced.
Cyclists can visit a number of attractions along the route, such as Spálené Poříčí, Padrťské rybníky, the legendary Třemšín Hill, the charming Rožmitál pod Třemšínem or the Mining Museum in Příbram.
From Pilsen (of CANu in Husova street) exits at 7:55 hours (he is also building Chodské náměstí and Slovany) and goes through Brdy to Příbrami. From Příbram there is a connection v 10:05 hours with the final stop in Míšov. From Mišov back to Příbram goes in 13:25 hours. OFFriday’s Weight gain goes through Brdy back to Pilsen v 3:30 p.m hours.
However, cycle buses are not intended only for cyclists! They can use them as hikersso ordinary passengers between individual stops of the bus line.
Fares and import fees
Price for passenger transport is governed by a special price list based on distance per kilometer driven. They are recognized all government discounts for children, students, seniors, etc. In addition, the carrier provides other commercial discounts as a return fare with a 20% discount or lower fare with cashless payment from the ČSAD chip card or Pilsen card (discount 15%). Price for transportation bicycle is one-time regardless of the transported distance of the connection CZK 30.
Reservation, presale of tickets
Booking (buying a ticket) seats for people can again be done from different boarding points and also conveniently over Internet e.g. from the address www.csadplzen.cz/e-jizdenka. A ticket including a seat can also be purchased at all brick-and-mortar offices AMSBUS in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The price of a seat with a so-called electronic ticket or a seat from a classic store is FREE. Import duty only pay for the bicycle directly with the driver bus upon boarding, pre-sale is not possible. However, passengers who purchase a ticket in advance are automatically reserved a place for a bicycle in the bicycle train. Of course, tickets can still be purchased can also be purchased directly from the driver bus at the boarding stop.
