In an unguarded moment in a Prague cafe, a couple stole money from the bag of a man who was at a business meeting. Police are now looking for the perpetrators and are asking the public for help.

When a fifty-four-year-old man went to a café bar in Prague 1 for a business meeting in the second half of April, he definitely did not expect that his money would be stolen.
The victim was sitting at a table with three other men when two other men sat down at the next table. They noticed the leather bag that the victim had hanging on the back of the chair.
“At an unguarded moment, they took advantage of a momentary inattention, covered the bag with a jacket and subsequently stole cash from the wallet that was inside,” said police spokesman Richard Hrdina, adding that they then immediately moved to the bar, where they paid and left to an unknown destination.

According to Hrdina, the couple caused damage to the victim exceeding sixty thousand crowns.
Police officers secured camera footage from the cafe and from the street. “If you recognize anyone from this pair, or if you have any information that would lead to their capture, please call 158,” Hrdina added.
