For operational reasons, we have closed the lookout tower, so we thought about what we could do to make up for it for Saturday visitors. And since we still get positive responses to last year’s Amazing Theater of Physics and its plays with renewable resources that are easy to understand even for the smallest visitors, we decided to prepare something similar. Individual sites will explain how electricity is created, how it is produced from water, wind or the sun, and how it can be used to drive an electric motor or light up the windows of houses.” approaches Saturday’s games with energy for the entire team of guides Dan Daňkov.

The guides will explain everything in detail at the individual sites and give a practical demonstration. Of course, visitors will also be able to try everything, or they will be assisted during the interpretation itself. Although everyone expects that mainly children will join in the games, adults will not be prevented from doing so either. According to the guide, the slogan “Electricity is not boring” is intended for children. “The little ones can easily understand what’s going on before they turn on a table lamp at home, for example. For parents who already have physics lessons, we offer a practical example of what they learn about in school. At the same time, they will be able to try out how everything works for themselves.”

The event “Electricity is not boring” is therefore intended for the general public without the need to book in advance, entry is traditionally free. For games with energy, the information center has time from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information at www.cez.cz/ledvice.

The Elektrárny Ledvice Info Center is focused on classical energy and is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic. Thematically, it complements the other information centers of the ČEZ Group dedicated to nuclear energy and renewable sources. At the same time, it introduces visitors to the ending era of the coal era and the advent of low-emission technologies. The Ledvice power plant, or rather its modern, highly ecological production block with supercritical parameters, will be the last to definitively close this era. The information center offers three floors full of experiences and knowledge. An interactive exhibition full of virtual elements and audio-visual technologies awaits visitors, thanks to which everyone will learn how such a power plant actually works. In the spirit of the Clean Energy of Tomorrow, the guides also explain the future of energy using the example of renewable sources. Since November 2009, around 70,000 visitors have found their way to the info center. Last year alone, there were a record 9,862 of them, of which 221 were foreigners.
