Tourism in the Stedo region in the first quarter of 2024: the number of guests in mass accommodation facilities increased by 10%

In the first quarter of 2024, the number of guests in mass accommodation establishments increased by 10% in the Stedo region, while the number of overnight stays increased by 8.5%. A total of 10 regions recorded the majority of guest sweat, while the number of overnight sweats took place only in nine regions. The number of guests and boarding houses was the highest in the region since 2012, compared to the pre-covid period, the number of guests increased by a quarter and the number of boarding houses by a fifth. The humidity in the individual months of the 1st quarter thus reached the maximum for the last twelve years, with the exception of a slight inter-annual decrease in the sweat of overnight stays in January. The length of the guest’s stay is the best in R and the long term is dreamed of. The average length of stay of one guest was 2.13 nights and was the lowest in 20 years. Domestic guests made up a quarter of the clientele of accommodation establishments, the number of both domestic and foreign guests increased. Foreign immigrants came mostly from Germany and Slovakia. From the first plate of countries, from which the non-residents settled in the region came, Jin Korea fell out and, on the contrary, moved into it.

According to the rules, during the first quarter of 2024, put the drink in mass accommodation facilities 1 (according to HUZ only) in the Stedoesk region a total of 204 thousand nvtvnk 2 which was 25.0% more, did not drink in the period before the coronavirus pandemic (compared to the 1st quarter of 2019) and the most since 2012, when comparable statistics are kept in the field of tourism.

Compared to the same period last year, there was a rise in accommodation by 18.5 thousand guest vcewhich represented meziron nrst sweat guest in the region by 10.0%. Meanwhile, all regions recorded an increase in unemployment (especially an increase in the capital city of Prague by 16.9%), only in the Pardubice region did the unemployment decrease by 1.6%. The birth rate in the Stedo region was 0.1 pp higher than the national average and the fifth highest from an inter-regional point of view.

The Stedoesk region accounted for 5.0% of the total number of guests staying in R. The largest number of tourists were in hostels in Prague (38.1% according to R), the least in the Steč region (2.1%). According to the Stedoeskho region, it was among the seven regions.

The number of accommodated guests in the Stedo region has been growing since the beginning of the year; in January there were 54.0 thousand in accommodation, in Norway 64.4 thousand. and in the wild 85.6 thousand guest. All the months of the 1st quarter recorded the same number of visitors as last year (January by 1.2%, November by 9.9%, February by 16.5%) and the highest number of visitors in the last twelve years.

As with sweat, the number of overnight stays in the Stedo region was the highest since 2012, and compared to the period before the coronavirus pandemic (compared to the first quarter of 2019), the number of overnight stays increased by 18.5%. In contrast to the decrease in guest sweat in the statistics of individual months, only in Norway (by 6.7%) and in June (17.3%), a slight decrease was recorded in January (by 1.6%).

Average length of stay of one guest represented in the Stedo region in the 1st quarter of 2024 2.13 night. In comparison with the national average (2.57), only the South Moravian Region (1.75) recorded an average length of stay between regions, while the longest stays in the region were reported by residents of the Karlovy Vary region (3.68). The average length of stay of a guest in the Stedo region fell by 0.03 nights to the shortest value in the last twelve years.

In the first quarter of 2024, among the most frequent guests of accommodation establishments in the Stedo region were domestic foreigners, the so-called residents 3 (75.4%), of which 8.2 thousand stayed. (i.e. by 5.7%) but not in the same period of the previous year. Guest coming from abroad, the so-called non-resident 4 , drank to the region by 10.3 thousand. but not in the previous year, which represented 25.7% of the average growth rate. The number of resident and non-resident residents in the region was the highest in the statistics for the first quarter since 2012.

The first group is a guest from abroad (according to the total religion) consisted of citizens of Germany (according to 35.7% of all foreign guests), followed by immigrants from Slovakia (14.9% non-resident), Austria (8.7%), Poland (6.2%) and Ukraine ( 5.6%). The measurement of the number of guests took place in the middle of the country, from which the guests do not come. The absolute biggest change was recorded by the Germans, their number increased by 4.7 thousand. persons (by 35.6% of the total). Rakuan (by 73.8%) and South Koreans (by 659.5%) recorded a high relative increase compared to the previous year, which after the coronavirus pandemic was once again among the ten most poorly accommodated religious communities in the region. On the contrary, from the first plate of these countries, with an average drop of 76.0%, the guest from ny dropped out.
