Prague – The concert of the singer Laura Pergolizzi, performing under the stage name LP, ended today in the sold-out Karlín Forum in Prague with her hit Lost on You. In addition to seven-year-old songs about the singer’s breakup with her girlfriend, half of the program consisted of songs from the current album Churches, which the native of Huntington, USA, released last December. Women and girls predominated among the 3,000 spectators.

From the album Churches, which LP wrote together with her long-time collaborators Mike Del Rio and Nate Campany, the songs When We Touch and Goodbye were played right at the beginning of the concert. The album featured a number of producers that LP refers to as his friends. “Creating with my best friends is a gift I never took for granted. At the same time, it’s a great experience for me to meet new like-minded collaborators. It’s like falling in love. Constantly falling in love and falling out of love. I feel like this is the basis of life . And although it is sometimes a painful experience, I would never change,” she said.

The musician, who, according to experts, offers a mixture of rock, folk and pop based on a clear and dense guitar sound with a minimal contribution of electronics, in addition to the older songs No Witness, When We’re High or Muddy Waters, accompanied by the band, played the new compositions The One That You Love or How Low Can You Go. Enthusiastic spectators also applauded the acoustic part of the concert.

At the end of the concert, those present were treated to the hit One Last Time, which LP fans could see as a video clip with actress Jaime King, known from the films Pearl Harbor and Sin City. After that, the audience applauded for an encore, in which LP said goodbye with the songs Special and Lost on You.

LP performed at Foru Karlín at two concerts in May 2019. At that time, she was promoting her album Heart To Mouth. The first single Girls Go Wild became one of the most played songs on Czech radios and was, among other things, the most played Italian radio hit of 2019. She performed in Prague LP for the first time in 2017, when she sang to a full Roxy club at two performances.

This year, LP was one of the biggest attractions of the Colors of Ostrava music festival, which took place in the industrial environment of Dolní Vítkovice. According to the organizers, she sang for approximately 40,000 people. The singer and composer with Italian roots waited 15 years for her success. Her debut album Heart-Shaped Scar was released in 2001, but she only gained much attention with her fourth record Lost On You. Until then, she also made a living by writing songs for more successful colleagues, which included, among others, the Backstreet Boys, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Leona Lewis and Cher.
