--

The boy made himself known 10 km above the ground. “A slightly belated Christmas present, a boy, declared an alert to the ASČR crew last night, who completed his plan during an emergency landing in Prague instead of the original landing in Bucharest and successfully delivered the boy,” ASČR said.A plane bound for Bucharest landed safely with us, on board which the birth took place. I’m glad that mother and baby are fine and I wish them good health,” Prague Airport chief Jiří Pos commented on the birth on Twitter.

The airport in Prague received information about the diversion of the heading plane from Britain to Romania due to birth on board at 01:14. 12 minutes later, the news came that both the mother and the newborn boy were fine, said Procházka. Shortly after half past two in the morning, the plane landed in Prague and the woman and her newborn were taken to Motol. “At 02:17 the plane continued to Bucharest,” added Procházka.

According to Homolova, the boy born at night on board the plane weighed 2.75 kilograms and measured 47 cm. The mother is Romanian, both were fine after landing and were taken care of by paramedics in Motola. “We congratulate the mother and wish the little traveler many happy years with us,” added ASČR.
