The car was driven by a 39-year-old businessman AC, who, according to Novinek, was actively involved in the presidential elections when he organized a fundraiser for the benefit of Petr Pavel. He refused to comment on the accident, later he only wrote to Novinkám that he was sorry for the accident and that his health indisposition was to blame.

According to the police source Novinek, the police officers are waiting for expert opinions from the fields of medicine and transport. Detectives are also interviewing witnesses and examining additional CCTV footage.

According to police spokesman Jan Rybanský, the investigation is still ongoing, but he did not want to comment on the details. No charges have yet been filed.

No toxicology

A hospital source said the driver had not been tested for toxicology, which he said was “prohibited”. At the same time, toxicology reveals the presence of substances in the body that the police cannot detect, for example, with a drug test. Samples are taken from blood or urine.

The police normally order toxicology in similar serious cases, not only in traffic accidents, but also in violent crimes. However, police spokesman Jan Daněk described the procedure as standard in this case.

“The driver submitted to a drug and alcohol test. Both tests were negative. In these cases, further toxicological tests are not done,” he told Novinkám.

Enormous pressure from the primary

The police are also interested in the behavior of the emergency room manager of the JK Motol hospital, who put enormous pressure on the paramedics on the spot to take the driver of the Porsche to his hospital. This was also confirmed by the Novinek source.

The pressure was said to be enormous, the crew complained about it to the policemen present at the scene of the accident. The mayor had previously confirmed that he knew the AC driver. He also figures as a member of the board of directors in one of his companies.

The spokeswoman for the rescue service, Jana Poštová, told Novinkám that the rescuers on the spot acted in accordance with the applicable legislation in all cases, and there is no internal investigation on their part. “In terms of what you mention, we are providing full cooperation to the police in the further investigation. Furthermore, it will be up to the rescuers individually, but we cannot be specific,” Poštová added.

It is said that nothing bad happened on their part, the driver was subsequently taken to Na Bulovce hospital for a check-up.

The police did not specifically comment on the matter, according to the spokesperson, standard criminal proceedings are still ongoing, which are not public.
