17:39: Ricciardo will start from fourth place. It’s probably not realistic that they will keep the position, but every point counts… especially in the battle with Haas, where RB has a 2 point lead.

5:36 p.m.: There were two changes compared to the shootout. Bottas received a penalty (+3 places) for blocking Piastri and will start last. Albon then changed the suspension settings and starts from the pits.

5:34 p.m.: Ocon will have his front wing replaced on the grid. We don’t know where he was looking… but maybe the camera footage was deceiving and Leclerc was going slower than Ocon expected… What happened? Leclerc drove through the pit lane, Ocon came out of the pits and crashed his front wing into his right rear tire.

17:33: Collision in the pits! Nothing terrible, but Ocon hit Leclerc with his front wing. The Alpine Wing will check…

5:30 p.m: Riders take to the grid…

5:30 p.m: Verstappen attacks for ninth sprint win. Leclerc will start second, who could take the first sprint win for Ferrari. He will have Pérez behind him in third place.

McLarens look strong. However, they did not succeed in the third part of the shootout on a soft set. Piastri is sixth, Norris up to ninth.

17:27: Who won the previous sprints? A total of five riders:

  • Verstappen: 8 times
  • Bottas: 2 times
