Xiaomi as competition for Garmin? Will be releasing a durable watch soon!

--
  • Xiaomi will launch a new smartwatch under the Black Shark brand
  • In theory, they could compete with Garmin or Amazfit products
  • They seem to offer a durable construction that can withstand even rougher handling

It is not so long that Xiaomi under its brand Black Shark launched a smart ring, and now we’re learning about another “shark” product. In a post on Chinese social network Weibo, the company unveiled the smartwatch Black Shark GS3, which seem to be aimed primarily at outdoor sports enthusiasts. So let’s take a look at what we know about them so far.

In the regions where the watch will look, it could represent interesting competition for devices from brands like Garmin. I will rely on durable constructionwhich is apparently not afraid of even rougher treatment, and round display. The polygonal body, seemingly made of plastic, is equipped with two control buttons with a textured surface and physical crownwhich bears the manufacturer’s logo.

It is also evident that Black Shark intends to launch the new watch in at least two color variants – v black and army green. In addition to the strap, the case of the watch as such is also colored in the appropriate shade.

While exact specifications and features have yet to be revealed by Xiaomi, we expect the Black Shark GS3 to arrive with a very competitive price. We conclude this based on the pricing of earlier products. Unfortunately, we do not currently know whether the watch will make its way to Europe in an official way, or whether it will only be possible to purchase it through marketplaces such as AliExpress.
