On Wednesday, May 1, after 7 p.m., rescuers went to U Elektry Street in Prague to a very serious accident. Here, the driver drove onto the sidewalk and hit a woman with a stroller. The woman was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

“Shortly after 7 p.m., we, along with other colleagues from the Integrated Rescue System, were called to an accident in U Elektry Street in Prague. The driver of a car drove onto the sidewalk for reasons not yet determined, where he hit a woman with a stroller,” said Prague police spokesman Jan Rybanský.

The woman was then taken to hospital with a serious head injury. “A two-year-old boy was also taken for observation, but he should not be injured,” added Rybanský.

The presence of alcohol in the breath of the driver, who also escaped the collision without injury, was not detected. The police are still investigating the accident.

The Prague rescuers also reported on the accident on the social network. “We are caring for three people – a knocked down woman with a serious head injury, a small child with no obvious injuries and the driver,” they wrote on the X platform.

Firefighters provided technical assistance and secured the vehicle. “We have a psychologist on site who provides psychological intervention,” the Prague fire department said on the social network.
