Currently, the fifteen-year-old murderer has been on trial since February this year. He confessed to the crime only last week, after his older brother was also investigated for the horrific crime, Bild writes. Due to the age of the offender, the trial was held behind closed doors.
Joel went to the field in mid-September. When he did not return at the agreed time, his parents went looking for him and immediately reported his disappearance to the police. Police were shocked by the level of brutality with which the boy was murdered. The perpetrator inflicted seven stab wounds on the boy. In less than two weeks, investigators discovered that the killer was a 14-year-old boy. He was the last person to see Joel alive. During the interrogations, the boy repeatedly got involved in his statements and eventually stopped cooperating with the investigators. He finally confessed only two weeks ago.
According to Bild, detectives found that he first beat Joel and then stabbed him with a 15-centimeter-long knife. In addition to traces of little Joel’s blood, experts also found fibers from his clothing and the killer’s DNA on the blade and handle.
