Oklahoma State softball coach Kenny Gajewski ‘feels good’ about the Cowgirls’ progress
Coach Patty Gasso and the No. 2-ranked OU softball team will try to capture another Big 12 win in the Bedlam series opener against No. 4 Oklahoma State on Friday night in Norman.

A long video review overturned a safe call at home plate, instead calling OSU’s Tallen Edwards out on a throw from the outfield after Karli Godwin’s double to left field.
The relay came in just in time for OU catcher Kinzie Hansen to tag Edwards on the thigh just before her hand touched the plate.
After a bout with control issues that led to a one-out walk, OU pitcher Kelly Maxwell fought back with a strikeout prior to Godwin’s double.

The lineup card came with a surprise prior to the Bedlam series opener.
OSU coach Kenny Gajewski will start sophomore pitcher Kyra Aycock, essentially the team’s No. 3 starter, on Friday night opposite OU ace Kelly Maxwell.
Aycock’s last outing was one of her best of the season, when she allowed two runs on five hits over five innings of relief last Saturday in a 6-5 win over Kansas.
For the season, Aycock has a 3.17 ERA with 46 strikeouts over 70 ⅔ innings.
