Following the news about Mach Muradov, who unfortunately the UFC suddenly said goodbye to, many fans remembered the Muradov vs Kincl fight, which we were supposed to see under the XFN banner. It was supposed to be one of the highlights of the year back then, but we never got to see the battle in the end. What went wrong?

That explains a lot! Muradov reveals how angry UFC management pressured him

“Hello everyone, I just landed in Istanbul and like you, I got the news that I am not a UFC fighter as of today. I wrote to the manager because I don’t know why. They just got a message saying thank you for everything, blah blah blah, but they didn’t write the reason. Never mind, life goes on. I didn’t want to end up there like this and so soon, but fate is fate. I’m not disappointed, but maybe a little sad. I won’t say no. However, this is sport and life goes on. We’ll see what comes next. I already have some offers. They just terminated the contract. I don’t know the reason. I just wanted to tell you, but I’m definitely not ending my career. I’m moving on and wanted to thank you all” Muradov responded to the news regarding the cancellation of the UFC contract.

Why didn’t the Muradov vs Kincl fight happen?

“Greetings to all my fans, as you probably know, my next match under XFN was supposed to take place on June 7 at the O2 Arena in Prague against Patrik Kincl. Unfortunately, XFN did not meet the terms we agreed upon and the match is cancelled. I am very sorry to all of you and also to Patrik, whom I respect as an athlete and as a person. I’m very sorry about the whole situation, but it’s my job that supports me and certain rules must be followed. I’ve never had any problems with XFN, but unfortunately it didn’t work out this time. As of today, I am a free fighter and I will soon let you know in which organization and where I will continue. Thank you for being with me, for supporting me and for believing in me,” explained Mach in 2019 that XFN did not meet the contractual terms. Muradov wanted the slowly sinking organization to send him a deposit for the match so he could be sure he would get paid, which didn’t happen, so he dropped out of the battle.

“The new management of the company did not respond to the situation with Muradov, which makes me very sad,” Petr Kareš, promoter of XFN, responded to the newspaper Sport at the time. “I asked Mahmud for a week’s time and as a promoter I will secure the finances for him or resign. It is not possible to continue working like this. I may be the only one who believes XFN can handle the situation, but I don’t mind at all. We’re up against very strong players and it seems like one player inside XFN has been playing against us the whole time.”

However, it is now on the table again, should Muradov return to OCTAGON, where he was already active. However, there are definitely other ways, so we’ll see how it turns out in the end.
