Miroslav Imrich died. The voice of Tango and Abraxas left the “ordinary world”

Imrich’s Facebook page published the sad story. It is with great regret that we have to inform you that Mr. Imrich has left the ordinary world forever this weekend, stand here in the background of one of the biggest hits of Abraxas, which Imrich first sang. The music website Headliner reported that his co-worker Radek Masak confirmed the sad beginning.

In the 1980s, Imrich played in the rock bands Tango and Abraxas, i.e. two domestic representatives of the so-called new wave. He joined Abraxas in 1977, shortly after its creation. He left the band after six years due to the lack of a hard-working bag to found the pop rock band Tango together with Ota Bal, Frantik Kotva and Zdek Juraka.

The band celebrated great success in Slovakia at the time, they even got to the Bratislava Lyra, went through the ground of the eastern block and together with Olympic performed in enev. Despite a promising performance, radio space and hundreds of concerts, Bag Tango disbanded in 1988.

Imrich subsequently tried out with the metal band Alarm and later with the dance project Imrich Tekknofactory. He didn’t celebrate with a single group, so he moved to Abraxas in 1994.

They successively recorded two separate albums. The hardcore-influenced Sado Maso and the funk Ritul, where Imrich and Slvek Janda managed two big hits Obyejnej svt and Karel drógy nebere, notes music columnist Honza Vedral for Headliner. Imrich not only composed but also sang famous songs. He worked in Abraxas until 2009.

At the same time, Imrich tried to revive the Factory project and subsequently Tango, with which, according to Wikipedia, local rushes were celebrated. According to Imrich’s website, he had a full seven concerts with Tang during the year. According to songs also in the Rammstein band revival.
