According to initial information, he fell asleep behind the wheel, said police officer Michaela Richterov. The police will continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.

There were five injured in total, a woman and a child were transported by rescuers by air to Prague hospitals, the injured were transported by ground to hospitals in Prague and Nymburk, said Marek Hylebrant of the rescue services.

A month ago, several people were hit by a car in front of a supermarket in Polič nad Metuj in Nchodsk. Seven injured, including two children, were transported to local hospitals. the man who hit people with his car had a particularly bad health, he did not remember the accident. Alcohol failed her test.

In March 2021, a truck drove into the Vojensk hospital tram stop in Prague 6, where it knocked down several people. The rescuers rescued six people, two of whom died of injuries in a nearby military hospital. The 50-year-old driver had health problems especially shortly before the accident, probably lost consciousness, but was not injured.

A month later, in Mlad Boleslav, in front of one of the gates of the Koda Auto car company, a car drove into people at high speed.
