Christina M. Pieper-Bigelow, one of the 30 veteran American veterans, also took part in the fifth ceremony at the beginning of the celebration, where she spoke on behalf of veteran families. She recalled that her father spoke of Pilsen as his second home.
On Saturday, among other things, she ran the kilometer-long Bhu trail for the nation’s memorial and on Sunday she drove through the city in a convoy. According to their own words, they liked the program and the atmosphere of the celebration.
