Fuels are getting cheaper in the Czech Republic, gasoline is below forty crowns per liter

Fuel prices began to drop at the end of April, before their prices rose throughout the month. Compared to the situation a year ago, gasoline is now about 100 kroner more expensive per liter than a year ago, motorists then paid 6.29 kroner per liter less for diesel.

According to Purple Trading analyst Petr Lajsko, there are several factors behind the current price reduction. The price of diesel on the stock exchange in Rotterdam fell for practically the whole of April, and towards the end of the month, the price of petrol dropped. In recent weeks, the Czech koruna has been a big positive, which even hovered around the 25-crown level with the euro for a long time, Lajsek said. He drew attention to the drop in oil prices on the market.

Analysts expect a further decline in prices. In the next few weeks, diesel will reach around 38 crowns per liter. The drop in the price of gasoline will not be so sharp. already broke through equal to 40 crowns per liter and a subsequent drop of 20 and 30 hals per liter, XTB analyst Ji Tyleek said. According to him, in the last few weeks, the price of fuel has been significantly reduced. The latter would not play a vital role in the bags, Tyleek pointed out.

The cheapest gas station in the Karlovy Vary Region, where a liter costs 39.43 crowns on average. Diesel is the cheapest in the Steck region, a liter sells there for 37.37 kroner on average. On the contrary, the most expensive fuel is at the gas station in Prague, where a liter of gasoline costs an average of 40.76 crowns. Diesel is refueled there for 39.60 crowns per liter.
