Massive explosions rang out in the Ukrainian city of Pavlohrad in the Dnepropetrovsk region on Monday night. The information about the explosions was confirmed by the mayor of the city, Anatoly Vershina, the Unian agency reported. A former missile factory was supposed to be hit.

The air alert was announced in the Dnepropetrovsk region at 21:30 local time.

According to information from the residents, there were fires after the attack, windows were broken in some houses. According to unconfirmed data, the Russians launched a missile attack on Pavlohrad. The Russian Air Force sent 17 Tu-95 bombers into the air. Images of massive explosions appeared on the networks. These should have lasted more than an hour.

In Pavlohrad there is supposed to be a former plant for the production of ballistic missiles, according to unconfirmed reports, some were supposed to be stored there, along with their fuel. According to the agreements, old Soviet missiles were supposed to be dismantled there earlier. The Russians are said to be spreading reports that there is a risk of chemical contamination after the plant is damaged.

On the Facebook page of the city of Pavlohrad, they first called on residents to stay in safe places and “not to walk around the city”, and then they urged them not to believe misinformation and assured that “there is no chemical danger in the city.”
