An idyllic vacation turned into a horror in a single moment for a young woman who went to the sea in the Caribbean. She was attacked by a shark while snorkeling in the sea off the Turks and Caicos Islands. A fish bit a young woman’s leg.
A 22-year-old American woman took away a terrifying experience from her vacation. On the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean, she was expecting paradise, but instead a nightmare awaited her there. She was attacked when she was snorkeling near the islands with a friend on Thursday.
She was attacked by a shark while diving. It happened around three o’clock local time. The attack of the toothy fish did not last long, but the shark also swam away with the foot of the young tourist from the terrible encounter, reports the ABC portal.
Employees of the resort, near which the women were diving, rushed to help the injured girl. They called the rescuers, who managed to get the young woman out of the water. The local police also arrived at the scene and secured the area surrounding the shark attack, in case the animal returned.
A woman with a bitten leg was taken to Cheshire Hall Hospital by paramedics. She survived the attack, but according to CNN, she is in a very serious condition. Her friend escaped the terrifying incident unharmed.
