“Ukraine? End now. And covid…” Kennedy scares both Trump and Biden

--

The nephew of former US President Robert F. Kennedy and an independent candidate for the presidential election in November, lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. addressed a rally on Long Island.

Speaking at a rally near New York, he cited polls he allegedly commissioned as part of his campaign. They show Kennedy winning in two variants: In one, he would face only the current president, Joe Biden, without the participation of former president Donald J. Trump, and in the other, with Trump without Mr. Biden.

Kennedy has gotten on the ballot in two states so far and says he has enough signatures for seven more. During his speech, he tried to reverse the opinion of Americans that a vote for him is a wasted vote.

“The reason I’m behind is because a lot of Americans vote out of fear,” he said, adding that his “path to victory is to convince Americans not to vote out of fear.”

According to the diary Financial Times As an independent candidate, Kennedy is “causing anxiety” in both Joe Biden’s campaign and Donald J. Trump’s camp as an alternative that could tip the balance in their fight.

Trump has recently started calling him a “radical left-wing liberal” and a “crazed Democrat” who is out to ruin his chances. This despite the fact that he initially spoke positively about him.

Additional surveys by server Salon for several months now, they have shown that Kennedy is taking more voters away from Biden than Trump, largely based on the dissatisfaction with Biden among Democrats who knew little about Kennedy beyond his name.

Additionally, a new NBC News poll shows Biden trailing Trump by two points in a two-round race, but ahead of Trump by two points if Kennedy is electable. In the Marist poll, Biden’s three-point lead increases to five points if Kennedy is on the ticket. It seems that the more voters learn about Kennedy, such as that he is anti-vaccination, the more Democrats turn away from him and the more MAGA (Make America Great Again) Trump camp voters care about.

If Trump or Biden win, Kennedy said “half the country will be angry and half the country will be smug.”

According to Marist-Poll again reaches up to 16%. According to a popularity poll conducted by political website FiveThirtyEight, 37.7% of Americans polled have a favorable opinion of Kennedy, compared to 42.1% for Trump and 39.9% for Biden, the site reports US News.

During a rally in Long Island, Kennedy brought up a number of issues plaguing America: “chronic ill health, the national debt, the ‘poisoned’ food supply” — which he said his opponents don’t talk about at all.

His skepticism about the COVID-19 vaccine garnered national attention years ago. Even during a speech on Long Island, he returned to the covid measures and their effects. “Whatever we do — whatever we did — it was wrong,” he said of America’s response to the pandemic, referring to the country’s huge death toll. “Shutting out the American public was wrong. Closing businesses was bad,” he added.

Kennedy responded to questions about Ukraine with an emphasis on a diplomatic solution, saying he would end the war “very quickly” through negotiations with Putin. He emphasized his negotiating skills and dismissed concerns about his ability to get along with the Russian leader.

He criticized the neoconservatives for their support for NATO expansion and urged their understanding of the reality of a multipolar world.

Regarding Israel, he emphasized its right and duty to protect its citizens and warned against using the ceasefire by Hamas to rearm. He criticized the corruption of Palestinian politicians and expressed support for getting rid of Hamas as a way to help the Palestinians.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. graduated from Harvard University and on October 9, 2023 announced his candidacy for the position of President of the United States of America, for which he is running as an independent candidate.
