Each of us gradually puts winter spicy and heavier perfumes in a drawer, and in addition to our proven summer evergreens, we like to be inspired by what to try this year for a novelty that would settle on our long-term dressing table. But finding a new fragrance is not an easy discipline at all. What you smell on a colleague may smell completely different on you, so take your time and try the fragrance in person.
How to smell as long as possible
Before you go hunting, first clarify what you expect from the scent. If you need long lasting power and don’t have the time or thoughts of “chanting” during the day, then look no further perfume or eau de parfum, which last the longest. The reason is the higher percentage of essential oils – i.e. fragrance components. Mostly, however, it will be fragrances based on a slightly heavier base, such as woody notes or amber. But if you don’t mind carrying the bottle with you during the day and re-scenting yourself, you’ll be fine with eau de toilette, which doesn’t last as long, but for that you can afford a much fresher scent and its price is much more favorable.
Meadow – toilet water
The perfect summer fragrance from Manufaktura is full of meadow flowers and juicy fruit. It envelops you in a sensual veil of daisies, dandelions and ripe green apples. The heart consists of peach, and at the end there are green violet leaves, wild rose, amber, sandalwood and ginseng. Plus, it’s suitable for vegans!
Light Blue Summer Vibes – Eau de Toilette
Treat yourself to an upgrade of the iconic fragrance from the famous Italian designer house Dolce&Gabbana. As the name itself suggests, it is a truly summery woody fruity fragrance based on bergamot, complemented by peach and cedar oil. The cheerful bottle, which will be removed on the dressing table, will also attract attention.
Jour d’Hermès Absolu – Eau de Parfum
It is not for nothing that the French brand Hermès has these in its portfolio the most expensive handbags in the world. The long-lasting fragrance, which according to its creator Jean-Claude Ellena is a celebration of femininity, is definitely worth a try. At the beginning, you will be charmed by the aroma of apricot blossom and sour grapefruit. Then gardenia, Sambac jasmine and flowers. The base of the fragrance consists of woody tones and oak moss, which gives it a velvety touch.
Clinique Happy – Eau de Parfum
This fragrance has been loved by women all over the world for several decades. And thank God its content is unchanging. This amazing summer scent really has staying power and should blow your mind. The reason is not only citrus fruits, plum and apple, but also the base in the form of white lily, magnolia and mimosa. We must not forget the lily-of-the-valley, which adds zest to the otherwise more citrusy scent.
APPLE LOVE – eau de parfum
Purely natural perfume from Ellis Brooklyn, the bottle of which you can use repeatedly, is made without parabens, phthalates and purely vegan. It is a reference to the city of New York (Big Apple). The aroma of juicy apples is mixed with vanilla, amber and plum blossoms. You will have the feeling that you are in the city that never sleeps.
Pomelo Paradis Cologne Absolue – perfume
Juicy, exotic fragrance full of sun and world places. That’s how you could describe Pomelo Paradis by Atelier Cologne. The main role here is pink pomelo from Florida, which is fresh. Calabrian tangerines and the scent of black currants from Burgundy are added to it. After smelling it, you’ll feel like you’re in paradise.
Azabache Chapter 2 – perfume
Azabache Chapter 2 by Pigmentarium is a new version of the perfume, which was first presented in a limited edition in 2021 by the Spanish fashion designer Artur Obegero. At the beginning, you will be intoxicated by the aroma of nutmeg and pink pepper. The heart is made up of flowers, especially roses. This cheerful combination is gradually subdued by the captivating woody warmth of labdanum, frankincense and myrrh in the base. There is also cedar, ambergris, jasmine and lily of the valley.
