While the smaller Mercedes models target young customers and are not afraid to take the plunge, the E-class has long been a non-conflicting managerial benchmark. But even that has changed a little with the new generation. Although it still looks like a tasteful sedan (or station wagon) from the outside, the cabin has undergone a significant transformation for the modern era.

This means a minimum of buttons and rotary controls, the vast majority of functions are controlled on the screen or touch pads on the steering wheel. There are two screens in the car (that is, unless you pay for an additional package for the luxurious Superscreen stretched along the entire length of the dashboard). Instead of a chapel in front of the steering wheel, the display is 12.3 inches, and the central screen is 14.4 inches. Although it is large, Mercedes cleverly integrated it into the instrument panel, so it does not stick out into the driver’s field of vision.

An integral part of all new cars – work with assistance systems – is a separate chapter. In the video, we also looked at how (un)easy it is to deactivate them. And since Mercedes also wants to offer some fun superstructure, a plethora of various games and other pastimes must not be missing either. And the voice assistant? You can have a lot of fun with it too. Like when he starts answering your question without you asking anything…
