After the winter break, Delta Air Lines has started operating its regular route from Prague to New York, where it will fly every day until October 6. Flights to John F. Kennedy International Airport will be served by Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with a capacity of 217 passengers, with 181 seats in economy class and 36 seats in business class. Klára Divíšková, spokeswoman for Prague Airport, informed about it.

Delta Air Lines has been flying from Prague to the American capital regularly since June 19, 2009, the line was not in operation only in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“During its operation in Prague, the American carrier has already made 5,900 flights and transported 1,119,000 passengers. The United States is a very important market for us, where we handled over half a million passengers last year, including connecting flights. In the first quarter of this year, we also recorded a growth of 17 percent in this segment, so we believe that Delta Air Lines will also increase capacity and extend operations,” said Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prague Airport.

“We are excited to resume non-stop flights from Prague to New York to JFK for the summer season. As it is the only direct connection to North America, the route is very important for both business travelers and those who want to visit relatives and friends or travel to America or the Czech Republic,” said Thomas Brandt, Delta Regional Sales Manager Air Lines for Central and Eastern Europe.
