The Hrabal Menzel duo was a world of normalized powers. Although the tandem had an Oscar for Oste followed by trains (1966), the day when Ji Menzel (82) filmed Skivnky na niti based on Bohumil Hrabal (82) in 1969 dominated the highest circles. They showed fifty years without parole, political offenders on the rotita and women imprisoned for trying to join the West. So it’s no wonder that the film ended up in a safe for twenty long years.

When Ji Menzel announced at the end of the seventies that he would film Slavnosti snenek, one of the censors wrote: Be careful not to give it to Skivnci!
The darkness remained in the darkness, and both cars were allowed to move around with the film Postiiny in 1981. Only after the rush of this romance did the Sunshine Festival get the green light. The scene was created during joint walks between Menzel and Hrabal in his beloved Kersko.
Secret Anna
Then there was a woman in Kersk who would have been expected to be young. Ji Menzel recognized her when he was with the Postiins at a festival in Vcar. about Charlie Chaplin’s youngest daughter Anna. She became the unwritten patron of the film, but she had to remain secret.

She even played in one of the ensembles. I also introduced her to Jim Suchm (92). However, I was hiding her from prying eyes and was afraid of being caught. The parakeet lived with me in Stranice, but she also stayed in some hotel or with my friends, explained Ji Menzel.
The film has a beautiful atmosphere of dry autumn, perhaps also because the cameraman of the fifth season in the famous cottage area at the entrance to Prague did not use lights, but only caught the sun with the help of reflective plates.
Jet vt charm was given to him by individual actors, for whom Hrabal’s neighbor was the role model. Mr. Franc, who was thoroughly enjoyed by Rudolf Hrunsk (73), was brought down by you. Reisr was worried if Blaena Holiov, the woman who filmed him with her daughter, was too strong for him. However, the real Mr. Franc assured him that his relatives were going to die, and he even wore his own hat to Hrunski’s body.
First to fall
One of the main characters is a member of the VB, who kindly persuades cyclists not to drink before riding. With this figure, Reisr had a good time, the first flap didn’t fall. He had to appear at the Ministry of the Interior, where they explained to him that Esenbuk is not allowed to behave comically during the day. In the end, it was worth using the actor Josef Somr(88) to portray him. The idiots had no idea that the first one was only a short distance away. The scene was late in the evening, and together with the local people, the actor got so drunk on alcohol that he had to cut the footage and shoot it again.
The writer, for a change in the times when the book was published, was joined by the two grown sons of Mr. Liman, who drives the goats to the pasture by car. According to them, Hrabal insulted their father: To be sure, to please those giants, we preferred to call Mr. Liman’s character Ulman in the film.
As actors, the two reis flashed. While Frantiek Vlil, who played the old hunter, just observed the activity on the set and collegially drew attention to the location of the camera, Ji Krejk didn’t get mad. At one point he even tried to say Stop! the city of Jiho Menzel. His voracious eater, who warns that he eats everything, is charming.
And the main character?
Some people don’t even know that it was them. There were two boars and whenever one of them had to fight on the road, it was enough to throw pieces of meat in front of him. Tet savage was stuffed. Well, the quarter served as the main course of the banquet in Hjena. Its interior was not created in Kersk, but in the studios, so they had to let the space go.
The Pehoz dispute
Hrabal also starred in the film. Pay close attention and see how the carrot breaks down in a hurry. The writer’s wife also blinks on the screen, and the first collection of dreams became the main obstacle to approval.
At the moment when it seemed that the film would pass, one of the powerful asked: What was the English flag doing there? Mr. Hrabalov had to go onto the porch with a dog bed behind the wheel in front of the camera. This home-made piece of textile actually served as a flag at the end of the family line.
But Reisr hardened and stood by his opinion that it was an innocent prank, because the English flag looked different. For less than half a year, Marn, led by Barrand’s case, pressed him to make the dream come true. At the end of the year, the studios needed to complete the film, and the film went to theaters with a peso. For tb, it included a bonus that he received a premium before Christmas.
Even when the sleep tandem filled the films, Hrabal did not manage to make most of them. Menzel filmed his book I Served the King of England nine years after the writer’s death.
